Be prepared to leave a table. This is quite possibly the most important tip I can give to a new poker player playing Cash games. When you’re being beaten and out played on a table you should get up and leave, do not hang around and let the other players take more of your money. I know it can be very tempting to stay and try and win your money back or get revenge on the players who’ve been beating you but I promise you are far more likely to lose more money than you we are to get your money back.

Live to fight another day and don’t hang around while the others have you read. A player who is angry or upset is always going to make more mistakes than one which is calm. If you feel that you’re stressed out it’s best to either stop playing or change tables. The same rule that applies to all gambling obviously applies to Poker. Never try and win money that you’ve lost back. Once you do this you can go into a vicious cycle which can lead you to lose more money then you can afford to lose. I’m not suggesting that any new are going to be gambling addicts, what I’m saying is if your stupid you will lose more money than you can afford to and your online gambling won’t be nearly as enjoyable as it should be. In other words be prepared to swallow your pride and walk away.

Sometimes you have to accept that a certain player on a given day is better than you at poker and trying to beat him will only lead you to losing more money. Sometimes some players can just read you. Once this happens you’re in a very dangerous situation because a good poker player can predict an amateurs moves if he understands what type of player he is. This will make it incredibly difficult for you to win and easy prey for the experienced player.
