Playing poker can be lots of fun. However, it can be very easy to get carried away and spend more money than you intend to and so you need to carefully work out how much you want to spend before you start.

Have a think about how much money you can afford to use. You do not want to spend anything that you need to pay bills with or buy essential items. It is worth calculating how much you have left to spend on gambling and then think about whether you want to spend it all in one go or have a selection of games spread over days or weeks. The best thing to do is to work out a daily budget if you want to play often or an overall budget if you just think you will want to play once.

Your budget will determine how much you spend per game. You may decide that you would rather spend small amounts and then play often. You may rather spend a big amount so that you have a better chance of winning a big amount of money and then risk losing it all in one go. The choice is yours and it is an important one. You may not want to risk losing all your money in one go, you may rather play more often for smaller amounts. However, you may only be interested in a big win and this will mean that you will have to gamble a large amount.

It is therefore important to not only decide on the strategy that you want to take with regards to how much you are going to gamble each day but also to make sure that you can afford to gamble the amount that you decide to spend.
